Robin McCoy, PhD: Founder, Principle Consultant
Robin McCoy, a co-founding member of the Lotus Leadership Institute team and previous Chief Operating Partner, currently works as a principal consultant.
Robin has spent over 20 years using her leadership skills to advance organizations through periods of organizational growth and expansion while in transition. Her expertise includes leadership development, strategic planning and marketing.
Robin has actively contributed to many San Diego business associations, including The International Leadership Association, The United Way, and The American Marketing Association. Currently a faculty member at the University of San Diego’s School of Business, Robin is the former president of Murphy Marketing, a management and marketing research company providing a wide range of business development, marketing research and management consulting services. Committed to ongoing development, Robin believes that leadership requires continual progress toward growth and self-awareness.
Tricia Estrada, a member of the Lotus Leadership advisory board, provides critical support related to marketing, client relationships and program development.
Tricia is the current CEO of BFBM, a company that creates technological learning tools for children at various developmental levels. She began her professional career at QUALCOMM, Inc., a leader and innovator in the wireless technology industry, where she assisted in the growing, strategic area of Latin American Business Development.
Tricia graduated with a BA and MA degrees in Psychology from California State University at San Marcos. Tricia’s graduate education emphasized research related to social philanthropic behaviors.
Cathy Bass is the director of the Lotus Leadership Institute social media campaign, as well as leadership programs for youth and women. She is also the program director for the Sport and Athletic Leadership Division.
Cathy has over 15 years experience as an educator and coach. She spent 13 years at the community college level as an instructor and women’s basketball coach. In her role of Director of Basketball Operations, she handled all of the off-court responsibilities relative to budget, facilities, travel, fundraising, events and special projects. Cathy has worked to develop the leadership capacity in youth from age 8 to 18 and focuses on team building, confidence building and ethical leadership for children.
She currently teaches physical education at a private school and creates PE curriculum. Cathy has researched extensively on the topics of youth, athletics and leadership and has created camps and special programs to develop leadership skills in youth. She earned a BA in Psychology from Cal State San Marcos, an MS in Education from Azusa Pacific University, and she holds multiple national certifications in fitness and health.
Kristen Mulligan participates in all aspects of leadership development for Lotus Leadership Institute, including facilitating leadership retreats and leading camps and training sessions. She is a principal consultant and program manager for the Sport and Athletic Leadership division.
Kristen has developed a vast work experience over the past 15 years in the fields of Education, Coaching, Social Services and Business. She earned her BS in Education with a minor in Business from Auburn University, where she was a basketball standout and competed on the U.S. Jr. Olympic Team. In the Social Service field, Kristin has served in crisis management and counseling and has provided emergency services to developmentally disabled individuals.
